New Delhi, Jan 02 The government has extended the deadline for submission of fresh applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for textiles till March 31, 2026, citing strong industry response.
The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) said the extension follows the reopening of the application portal in August 2025, which saw proposals across priority segments including man-made fibre apparel, MMF fabrics, and technical textiles.
So far, 74 applications have been selected under the scheme, involving proposed investments of about Rs 28,711 crore, with potential to generate over 2.59 lakh jobs.
