Mumbai, July 3, 2015: State Bank of India (SBI), the largest commercial bank in India launched ‘Project TATkal’, an initiative which focuses on strengthening doorstep service and improving response times on Home Loan applications. The initiative will help the home loan applicants to get the Loan within “10 Days” after receipt of application form and relevant supporting documents.
Project TATkal” will be rolled out across all the Home Loan marketing and processing outfits in the Bank in a phased manner. The implementation will be done at large centres with sizeable Home Loan business.
Following is a brief description of the changes which collectively referred to as “Project TATkal”:
a) Revamp of Home Loan marketing infrastructure with a focus on strengthening doorstep delivery / service and improving response times on Home Loan applications.
b) Bring down the average time taken for delivery of Home Loan to within “10 Days” from the date of receipt of completed Home Loan application form and relevant supporting documents from the customer.
Recently, the Bank has also introduced an Online Customer Acquisition Solution (OCAS) on 28th May, 2015 for instant e-approval of Home Loan applications. Customers can login into onlineapply.sbi.co.in for instant e-approval.
State Bank of India has been the “Preferred Home Loan Provider” to over 3 million satisfied Home Loan customers and has a portfolio of over Rs.1,66,0000 crores – the largest amongst all Scheduled Commercial Banks and Housing Finance Companies in the country.
