New Delhi, Nov 04: RailTel Corporation of India, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, observed Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024 (28thOctober to 3rdNovember 2024) with a thoughtfully organized lineup of activities. Led by CVO Dr. Chandramani Sharma, RailTel’s Vigilance Department carefully planned and carried out a variety of awareness programs throughout the week.
On October 28, 2024, the first day of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW-2024), anjai Kumar, CMD/RailTel, led the Integrity Pledge for all RailTel employees connected via videoconference. Throughout the week, a series of engaging activities unfolded, including quiz, poster-making, and essay-writing competitions open to employees and their families. Prominent officials, such as D. K. Singh, PED/ Vigilance, Railway Board, S.P. Beck, ED/Vigilance (S&T) Railway Board, and A. K. Kanoujia, Additional Secretary / CVC, were invited to share their insights on various aspects of vigilance, enriching participants’ understanding.
A comprehensive Vigilance Bulletin was also launched as part of the VAW program. On the final day, Dr. Chandramani Sharma, CVO/ RailTel, presented an Observance Report, offering thoughtful reflections on the week’s initiatives.
This significant event was held under the auspices of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), the apex vigilance institution, with the overarching goal of rallying all stakeholders to actively engage in the prevention of corruption and to heighten public consciousness regarding the perils posed by corrupt practices.The theme chosen for VAW-2024 was Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity ‘. This provided an occasion for employees and other stakeholders to reaffirm their commitment to fostering honesty and integrity in every facet of official and personal interactions.
