Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 23 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated three new Amrit Bharat Express trains and a passenger train service for Kerala from Thiruvananthapuram.
This initiative aims to modernize rail travel and enhance inter-state connectivity. The new routes include Nagercoil-Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram, and Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli, alongside a passenger service between Thrissur and Guruvayur.
These trains, operated by Southern Railway, are designed to provide better amenities, safety features, and affordability, catering to daily commuters and enhancing travel between key cities across Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Passengers have reported satisfaction with the spacious coaches and modern features, such as CCTV cameras and charging facilities, aimed at improving overall travel experience.
