Faridabad, Dec 20: Padma Bhushan Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Kumar Sarin, a renowned medical practitioner, Chancellor & Director, ILBS and President, National Academy of Medical Sciences and author of famous book ‘Own Your Body’ delivered a very informative and Knowledge-enhancing lecture under the NHPC lecture series ‘Prerna’ on 19th December 2024 at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad.
R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical) and Santosh Kumar, CVO, NHPC were present on the occasion alongwith a large number of NHPC employees and their family members.
Bhanu Bharati, Chairperson, NHPC Ladies Club and Gayatri Goyal and other members of the NHPC ladies club and teachers & students of Senior Secondary School, Sarai Khwaja, Faridabad were also present on the occasion. The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp.
In his address, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC extended a warm welcome to Padma Bhushan Dr. S. K. Sarin and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for taking time from his busy schedule to grace NHPC with his presence. Lal acknowledged that it is through the expertise of medical professionals like Dr. Sarin that we are able to understand the complexities of bodily functions, particularly liver health, and maintain disease-free lives. He emphasized that the insights shared by Dr. Sarin would be valuable and that NHPC employees would strive to incorporate these learnings into their daily routines.
Padma Bhushan Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Kumar Sarin delivered an engaging and insightful lecture, focusing on his extensive medical expertise in the area of liver disease. He provided valuable insights into the interconnections between diabetes, obesity and other related diseases contributing significantly to the audience’s understanding of these critical health issues.

एनएचपीसी व्याख्यान श्रृंखला ‘प्रेरणा’ के अंतर्गत पद्म भूषण प्रो. (डॉ.) शिव कुमार सरीन ने व्याख्यान दिया
पद्म भूषण प्रो. (डॉ.) शिव कुमार सरीन, एक प्रसिद्ध चिकित्सक, चांसलर और निदेशक, आईएलबीएस और अध्यक्ष, राष्ट्रीय आयुर्विज्ञान अकादमी और प्रसिद्ध पुस्तक ‘ओन योर बॉडी’ के लेखक ने दिनांक 19 दिसंबर 2024 को एनएचपीसी निगम मुख्यालय, फरीदाबाद में एनएचपीसी व्याख्यान श्रृंखला ‘प्रेरणा’ के अंतर्गत एक बहुत ही रोचक और ज्ञानवर्धक व्याख्यान दिया। इस अवसर पर श्री आर.पी. गोयल, निदेशक (वित्त), श्री उत्तम लाल, निदेशक (कार्मिक), श्री संजय कुमार सिंह, निदेशक (परियोजनाएं एवं तकनीकी) और श्री संतोष कुमार, सीवीओ, एनएचपीसी के साथ-साथ बड़ी संख्या में एनएचपीसी कार्मिक और उनके परिवार के सदस्य उपस्थित थे। इस अवसर पर श्रीमती भानु भारती, अध्यक्षा, एनएचपीसी महिला क्लब और श्रीमती गायत्री गोयल और एनएचपीसी महिला क्लब की अन्य सदस्य और वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय, सराय ख्वाजा, फरीदाबाद के शिक्षक और छात्र भी उपस्थित थे। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत पारंपरिक दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ हुई।
अपने संबोधन में श्री उत्तम लाल, निदेशक (कार्मिक), एनएचपीसी ने पद्म भूषण डॉ. एस. के. सरीन का स्वागत किया और उनके व्यस्त कार्यक्रम से समय निकालकर एनएचपीसी में अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराने के लिए उनका आभार व्यक्त किया। श्री लाल ने कहा कि डॉ. सरीन जैसे चिकित्सा पेशेवरों के ज्ञान के कारण ही हम शारीरिक कार्यप्रणाली, विशेष रूप से यकृत स्वास्थ्य को समझ पाते हैं और रोगमुक्त जीवन जीने में सक्षम होते हैं। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि डॉ. सरीन द्वारा साझा की जाने वाली जानकारियाँ बहुत मूल्यवान हैं और एनएचपीसी कार्मिक इस ज्ञान को अपनी दैनिक दिनचर्या में लागू करने का प्रयास करेंगे।
पद्म भूषण प्रोफेसर (डॉ.) शिव कुमार सरीन ने एक ज्ञानवर्धक और विचारशील व्याख्यान दिया, जिसमें उन्होंने लीवर रोग के क्षेत्र में अपनी व्यापक चिकित्सा विशेषज्ञता पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने मधुमेह, मोटापे और अन्य संबंधित रोगों के बीच आपसी संबंधों पर मूल्यवान जानकारी प्रदान की, जिससे दर्शकों को इन गंभीर स्वास्थ्य मुद्दों की समझ में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान मिला।
