NTPC Kanti has also expanded its corporate social responsibility (CSR) footprint in the region. Weekly medical camps are being conducted in nearby villages, supported by a dedicated ambulance service for pregnant women and newborns, offering free health check-ups, medicines, and diagnostic services.

In education, the company has established smart classrooms in local schools and continues to run its flagship Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), providing one-month residential training annually to 40 girls from the region.

Skill development programmes, including training in sewing, bakery, and food processing, are being implemented to promote women’s economic empowerment. The station has also contributed to local infrastructure through road and drainage development and distributed around 900 desks in nearby schools.

Further supporting youth employment, 18 students sponsored for training at Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Hajipur, have successfully secured jobs, reflecting the impact of targeted skilling initiatives.

The developments underscore NTPC Kanti’s integrated approach to operational excellence, sustainability, and community development.
