New Delhi, April 26: The trail pond ash evacuation which was earlier successfully done on December, 2022. The station auctioned 3 lakh metric ton of pond ash through M/s MSTC. The offered quantity was fully auctioned at a price of @Rs.64-68.00 PMT in February,2023 for a period of one year .
Pond ash evacuation has been a long challenging target for the station. Sh. Karunakar Das, CGM,NTPC Bongaigaon and the environment monitoring group took great interest to achieve this target from its inception.
Sanjay Pande, GM( FGD) , I . S.Reddy, GM(Maintenance), Arunashis Das, GM( Project) and officials from EMG and Civil O&M were present during the opening function .
Safety pep talk on bulk material handling and road safety was administered to the pond ash lifters before start of evacuation.
