NTPC Bongaigaon starts New Year with massive Safety Walk with all its stakeholders

New Delhi, Jan 02 NTPC Bongaigaon joined the rest of the country in celebrating the New Year 2023. In the first working day of the year, Shri Karunakar Das, Chief General Manager, NTPC Bongaigaon along with the senior management of the station celebrated the new year by conducting a massive Safety walk within the plant premises spreading the message of safety.

More than 500 people which included employees from various departments, agencies, contractual workers, associates including representatives from BHEL participated in the walk. This the first time that a walk of this magnitude has been done in the station.

A safety resolution and pledge to keep the plant and township area safe and sound was administered by Shri Das in the presence of Shri Umesh Singh, GM (Operation & Maintenance), Shri Sanjay K Jha, GM (FM), Shri Sanjay Pande, GM (FGD), Shri G.M.Thangzom, Commandant, CISF,NTPC Bongaigaon, senior officials of various Deptts, representatives of union and associations, ladies club and welfare bodies. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Das highlighted NTPC’s efforts towards safety and its policies and praised NTPC Bongaigaon for all the safety practices . All employees and associates must adhere to the safety framework throughout the year, he added.

Head of the Project , NTPC Bongaigaon Sh Das, and all HODs and General Secy, workers union addressed the gathering and briefed safety precautions to be taken at different workplaces like Working at height, Electrical safety, Chemical Safety, Mechanical Safety, Road Safety, Fire Safety, etc.

The august gathering had been made aware of all kinds safety in a single platform on today’s mass Surakshya Rally.

HOP, Sh K.Das thanked all who participated in this mega rally and urged to all to spread Safety culture amongst their friends and colleagues for the safety of self and benefits of their family and society at a large.

All employees and agencies workmen acknowledged & appreciated this initiative taken by Bongaigaon management for the wellbeing of NTPC employees as well as associates employees.

Finally, it was concluded by HOD Safety Shri Sandhip Das with a vote of thanks to all.

Earlier as a part of the new year celebration, a cake cutting ceremony was also held on the occasion. A New Year Calendar 2023 depicting NTPC Bongaigaon’s efforts towards all its stakeholders was also done on the occasion.
