NLC provides a new Renal Care Centre and Eye Bank to Cuddalore Government Hospital under its CSR
B.Surender Mohan, CMD, NLC in the presence of S. SURESHKUMAR, I.A.S, District Collector/Cuddalore laid foundation stone and unveiled the Plaque for Construction of New Dialysis Centre and Eye Bank in Govt. Dist. Head Quarters Hospital, Cuddalore under Corporate Social Responsibility sheme of NLC on 04/03/2015 at Cuddlaore.
In continuation of its endeavours for better health society, NLC has taken the project to construct a Two storeyed building with 6500 Sqft area with a cost of Rs 96 Lakh for New Dialysis Centre and Eye Bank in Govt. Dist. Head Quarters Hospital, Cuddalore and extending its support by providing 13 Dialysis Machines at a cost of Rs 1Crore for New Dialysis Centre.
In a small function,at Cuddlore GH premises , in his Inaugural Speech , B.SurenderMohan CMD,NLC highlighted the welfare measures undertaken by the orgnization under its Corporate Responsibility Scheme.He thanked Cuddlore Dist administration for thier cooperation in bringing this project which brings smiles on the face of Renal failure Patients. He informed that for the current year NLC spending Rs 41.42 Crore for CSR activities apart from constructing 2500 toilet blocks at a cost of Rs 52.50 Crore in Tamilnadu and Rajasthan under Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan.

Playing an active role in the society and being sensitive to health issues is one of the main objectives of NLC.
The 58 year old organization is regularly carrying out various community development works even before the Government started to insist upon CSR policy like Water supply for irrigation, laying roads, constructing culverts, school buildings, meeting halls, community halls, buildings for library, Anganwadi. It also supplies drinking water to the nearby villages by sinking bore wells and constructing overhead tanks.
