SAFETY – A MORAL OBLIGATION AND TOPMOST PRIORITY AT NLCIL, SAYS PRASANNA KUMAR, CMD

New Delhi, March 06: The National Safety Day is celebrated on 4th of March every year in India with a primary aim  to highlight safety measures and make sure that people are aware of them and follow them to avoid accidents at work. The National Safety Day commemorates the establishment of the National Safety Council in 1966.

NLCIL, with its unwavering commitment to safety protocols and in keeping with the spirit of Safety in its workplaces, observes the National Safety Day assiduously every year. This year also, the National Safety Day was celebrated with utmost diligence on 4th  March, 2023 at its corporate office.

Prasanna Kumar, CMD, NLCIL, hoisted the Safety Flag in the lawns of Corporate Office of NLCIL today, in the presence of K. Mohan Reddy, Director (P&P and Power AC), Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines and Finance AC), Samir Swarup, Director (HR), Neeraj Kumar, CGM/Safety, Officials from Safety Department, senior officers and staff of NLCIL. Later, a Safety Pledge in trilingual was administered and taken by all.

Soon after the flag hoisting and pledge taking, Prasanna Kumar, addressing the employees, called upon everyone to assign topmost priority to safety in workplaces. He also urged the workmen, staff and employees of NLCIL to strive towards achieving the goal of zero-incident where every incident can be avoided through stringent safety measures.

NLCIL has always accorded the topmost priority to Safety right from its inception. Latest safety practices and initiatives are continuously undertaken by NLCIL in an endeavour to prevent mishaps and accidents in its industrial areas and ensure the highest possible safety of its workers and employees.

The Heads of all Units of NLCIL also administered the Safety Pledge in their respective Units in commemoration of the National Safety Day.
