Maruti Suzuki India Dispatches Record 5.85 Lakh Vehicles Through Rail in 2025

Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and Hyundai Motor India report strong vehicle sales in June 2026

New Delhi, Feb 09: Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported a record dispatch of over 5.85 lakh vehicles via rail in 2025, marking an 18% increase from 2024.

The company’s rail logistics share rose from 5.1% in 2016 to 26% in 2025, significantly lowering carbon emissions and alleviating road congestion. Key milestones include the inauguration of the largest automobile in-plant railway siding and the first rail vehicle dispatch to the Kashmir valley via the world’s highest railway arch bridge.

Maruti aims to increase rail dispatches to 35% by FY2030-31 to contribute to India’s net-zero emissions goal by 2070. Since FY 2014-15, over 28 lakh vehicles have been transported nationwide using a hub and spoke model.

The company promotes a ‘Circular Mobility’ approach to sustainability, reducing the carbon footprint throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
