Madhya Pradesh Secures 4,000 MW Power Supply Agreements Valued at ₹60,000 Crore

Bhopal, Jan 28 (IANS): Madhya Pradesh has signed power supply agreements for 4,000 MW of new thermal power generation capacity, worth Rs 60,000 crore, with Adani Power Limited, Torrent Power Limited, and Hindustan Thermal Projects Limited.

The investments include Rs 24,000 crore each from Torrent and Adani for 1,600 MW and 800 MW respectively, and Rs 12,000 crore from Hindustan for another 800 MW. An additional 800 MW is available under the greenshoe option.

The projects will commence in 2030 and are expected to create around 8,000 jobs, enhancing the state’s electricity supply and supporting sustainable development, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
