NLC India is organizing a National Seminar on Human Resources in association with the Neyveli Chapter of National Institute of Personnel Management on 23.03.2018 & 24.03.2018 at Learning & Development Center, Neyveli.
The inaugural session commenced on 23.03.2018, with the opening of new LED wall erected at the venue, by the President of The Seminar, Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD/NLCIL. The inaugural session of the Seminar was chaired by Prof. J. Philip, Principal Founder & Chairman of XIME, Bangalore as the Chief Guest and Shri Bijay Sahoo, President – HR (Reliance) as Guest of Honour.
To begin with, the lighting of Kuthuvilakku was ignited by The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, CMD, Functional Directors and CVO of NLCIL. The Short film on “Neyveli Panroma” was showed .
Mr. R. Vikraman, Director / HR / NLCIL, while programme perspective said, “the best people is not required; but the talent and capable”. The opinion on the basic factors of Human Resources, such as Satisfaction, Work incessant, honour/reward, ready to work still more hard were obtained from employees of NLCIL; the result shows, 10% over and above the National Average in all the factors, in such a way the organization fulfilling all the HR needs.
Then, the Video message of Mr. Sushil Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal/GOI. In his speech, “he opined that the balance of Growth of the Organization with Employees stands with the advanced policies of HR”.
Following the video message, Shri Bijay Sahoo, Guest of Honour, in his address said, “Say ; Stay ; & Strive” is the strategy, one has to perceive in work, to bring any development. He appreciated the NLCI maintains Green, Clean City at Neyveli, while giving importance to environment.
In the inaugural function, an e-souvenir associated with this seminar was released by Prof. J. Philip and the first copy was received at first by Dr. S.K. Acharya, CMD/NLCIL. In his inaugural address, Prof. J. Philip, said, for organizational development, ”leaders must lead not to give orders”; don’t do one thing good, but one should do one thing, which should really different from others. He pointed out that “Labour welfare should be changed as Labour Talentship” .
Dr. Sarath Kumar Acharya, in his presidential address said, Organization Growth, survival depends on Stakeholders’ management. Every organization runs with Employees, Investors, the Community, Environment and other factors. When all these factors are harmonized, the organization development could be ensured, he said. Also he pointed out, that employee should think that their contribution in work should uplift the nation as a whole, instead of work for salary; thereby, responsibility-mind could spawn towards Nation. By this means, Organization would see development alongwith Employees and other factors. He highlighted, that like organization’s growth, employees’ development and opportunities are also given more importance.
As part of Seminar, Exhibition has been organized. Wherein, the Public Relations Department exhibited the growth of NLC at various stages through Photos; besides, co-sponsors of the exhibition placed stall.
In this inaugural session, Functional Directors, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Shri Subir Das, Shri V. Thangapandian, Shri P. Selvakumar, Shri R. Vikraman and Shri T. Venkatasubramanian, CVO of NLCIL, Shri R. Narasimhan, Shri P. Babu Rao, Ex-Directors of NLCIL, and other dignitaries from different companies spoke on the occasion. More than 320 delegates from different companies and Colleges are participating in this two day seminar. Senior officials, Employees, Representatives of Unions/Associations participated in the inaugural session of the seminar.
In the evening, Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD/NLCIL inaugurated the India Post-Passenger Reservation System at Block-16 Post Office, Neyveli-1, in the presence of Shri J. T. Venkateswarlu, PMG-Central Region(TN), Trichy, Shri S. Anantharaman, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Southern Railway, Chennai and other functional Directors of NLCIL. The first ticket was received by Dr. S.K. Acharya.
Earlier, Shri N. Muthu, ED/HR/NLCIL welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks was delivered by Shri C. Thiagaraju, CGM/HR/NLCIL.
