New Delhi, Nov 14: A delegation of 24 senior officers from 23 ITEC partner countries visited the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) in New Delhi as part of a capacity-building initiative with the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management.
This engagement aimed to enhance international collaboration on digital public procurement reforms, showcasing GeM’s digital architecture and procurement practices.
GeM CEO Mihir Kumar emphasized the importance of creating a fair and transparent online marketplace benefiting the country. The visit also illustrated how GeM addresses traditional procurement challenges through technology.
Recently, GeM reached a significant milestone of Rs 15 lakh crore in cumulative gross merchandise value since its launch in 2016, reinforcing its commitment to a transparent and inclusive procurement ecosystem.
