FM Sitharaman Tables Economic Survey 2026 Ahead of Union Budget

New Delhi, Jan 29 (IANS): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey 2026 in Parliament, indicating positive GDP growth forecasts despite global challenges.

The survey outlines India’s economic performance and future prospects, with Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran set to elaborate on its findings, including issues like rupee depreciation and geopolitical volatility.

Sitharaman also historically marks her ninth consecutive presentation of the Union Budget, scheduled for February 1. The Budget Session will span 30 sittings until February 13, then reconvene from March 9 to April 2 for further examination of ministry grants.
