Economic Survey Forecasts 6.8–7.2% GDP Growth for India in FY27

Union Budget: Surat–Dankuni Dedicated Freight Corridor Proposed

New Delhi, Jan 29 (IANS): India’s Economic Survey predicts the GDP growth for FY27 will be between 6.8% and 7.2%, amidst a backdrop of global economic uncertainty.

It highlights that India’s economy is stable, with inflation at low levels, supported by healthier balance sheets and resilient consumption demand. However, global slowdown and trade disruptions could impact exports and investor sentiment.

The survey emphasizes the significance of policy credibility and maintaining economic buffers while noting that recent reforms have enhanced medium-term growth potential. While global growth remains modest, risks persist from potential trade conflicts and the unfulfilled potential of AI-driven productivity improvements.
