New Delhi, Aug 04: In connection with the work of Paravanar permanent diversion, being executed by NLC India, the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, on 02.08.2023, directed NLC India Limited to pay crop compensationat the rate of Rs. 40,000 per acre to the affected farmers on or before 06.08.2023.
Already, cheques for Rs. 30,000/- per acre towards crop compensation had been handed over to the Special Deputy Collector/Land Acquisition on 29.07.2023 before the court direction. Now, in compliance to the direction of the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, vide Interim Order dated 02.08.2023, cheques for the remaining amount for Rs. 10,000/- per acre have been handed over to the above authority to facilitate disbursement of the total of Rs. 40,000/- per acre to the affected farmers as crop compensation on or before 06.08.2023. As perthe court direction, all the affected farmers can approach the office of the DRO/Land Acquisition, Neyveli to collect the individual cheques from 10.00 am onwards on 04.08.2023.
