On January 29, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav hosted a reception for Padma Shri awardees Kailash Chandra Pant and Mohan Nagar at his official residence.
He congratulated them for their achievements and honored them with a shawl and an idol of Lord Mahakal. Pant, a senior litterateur and journalist from Sagar district, received the award for his significant contributions to Hindi literature at the age of 89.
He expressed pride in this recognition for himself and the community involved in Hindi literature and education. Mohan Nagar, recognized for his social service efforts, especially in environmental protection, is currently the Vice-President of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad and has been active in initiatives related to the Narmada River and education in tribal areas.
Additionally, two other personalities, Bhagwan Das Raikwar and Narayan Vyas, were also selected for the Padma Shri this year, highlighting the diverse talents recognized in Madhya Pradesh.
