New Delhi, March 09 : Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been conferred with prestigious “Business Standard Star PSU Award” for the year 2014 . Union Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information & Broadcasting, Arun Jaitely, presented the award to R.N. Nayak, Chairman & Managing Director, POWERGID in a glittering function of Business Standard award 2014 held in Mumbai recently.
In pursuit of excellence and to identify, one of the fastest-growing electricity utilities companies, POWERGRID has shown remarkable compound annual growth in sales and in net profit over the past three years.
POWERGRID has been selected for the award after a detailed evaluation process by a Seven members jury comprising eminent personalities under the Jury Chairman Shri K.V Kamath, Chairman of ICICI Bank & Infosys.
