Ajit Pawar’s Aircraft Crashes in Maharashtra’s Baramati

Mumbai, Jan 28 (IANS): Mumbai’s Maharashtra Police are investigating the Baramati plane crash that claimed the life of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with four others.

Authorities will analyze the wreckage’s location, speed, and impact angle, and examine the black box to assess the aircraft’s maintenance and airworthiness. The cockpit voice recording will shed light on the pilots’ final decisions, while communication records with Air Traffic Control will also be scrutinized.

The investigation will consider external factors such as weather and runway conditions. Among the deceased were Pawar, a personal security officer, an attendant, and two crew members, identified as PIC Sumit Kapur and SIC Shambhavi Pathak. Emergency services responded promptly, and DGCA officials are on-site to gather further information.
