On 14th July, Gauri Shankar, MD & CEO of Punjab National Bank along with Alok Rawat, Secretary, Pension & Pensioners Welfare, Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Govt. of India inaugurated the 2nd Camp in the series of 5 Camps being organized for seeding Aadhaar Number in Pensioners Account and Aadhar Registration in NCR for Pensioners of all the Banks. Vandana Sharma, Jt. Secretary, P&PW, Govt. of India, Subodh Kaushik and Rajesh Yaduvanshi General Managers, Punjab National Bank were also present on the occasion.
Gauri Shankar informed that the PNB is committed to the cause of Senior Citizens and has taken various initiatives to serve the Pensioners in their golden years. PNB is the first bank in India to introduce e-PPO and Digital Life Certificate, which would eliminate large number of basic grievances of the pensioners. PNB would also be conducting similar camps in all States in the coming days. Bank is taking many steps to realize dream of Digital India envisaged by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Dignitaries also interacted with the pensioners and heard their views & grievances for improving the pension delivery system.
