New Delhi, May 06: RITES Ltd is reinforcing India’s infrastructure development through its role in delivering quality, safety, and strategic value across key expressway projects in Uttar Pradesh.
On the Purvanchal Expressway, RITES has provided Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and External Technical Audit (ETA) services, ensuring high construction standards. The corridor connects Lucknow to Ghazipur and serves as a vital economic link in eastern UP.
The expressway’s dual-use capability was recently demonstrated when the Indian Air Force conducted an air exercise on April 22, 2026, in Sultanpur. Frontline aircraft including Sukhoi Su-30MKI, SEPECAT Jaguar, Dassault Mirage 2000, and HAL Tejas, along with the Airbus C-295, performed landing and touch-and-go operations on a dedicated airstrip.
RITES is also playing a key role in the Ganga Expressway, a 594-km greenfield project being developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. The company is undertaking safety audits for over 312 km across multiple sections.
Its scope includes development-stage safety assessments, construction-phase audits, GAP analysis, work zone safety checks, and road safety workshops, ensuring robust safety integration across one of India’s largest highway projects.
Through its multi-dimensional involvement in project management, technical auditing, and safety assurance, RITES continues to support national infrastructure priorities while enhancing operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
