NCRTC Commissions Largest EV Charging Hub at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station

New Delhi, April 03 The National Capital Region Transport Corporation has operationalised the largest EV charging hub along the Namo Bharat corridor at Anand Vihar station, strengthening last-mile green mobility infrastructure in the Delhi-NCR region.

The facility is equipped with 10 high-voltage fast chargers with an aggregate capacity of 480 kW, enabling simultaneous charging of up to 10 electric vehicles. The chargers can power four-wheelers to nearly 80 per cent in around 30 minutes, supporting quick turnaround times for users. Dedicated charging points have also been provisioned for heavy commercial EVs.

The hub is integrated with the Electrify mobile application, allowing users to register, reserve slots, monitor charging status in real time, and make digital payments, ensuring a seamless and transparent user experience.

The development aligns with the broader EV ecosystem push led by the Delhi Transport Corporation and the Delhi government, including ongoing plans to scale up charging infrastructure at key bus depots such as Kashmiri Gate, Sarai Kale Khan, and Anand Vihar.

With this addition, EV charging infrastructure is now available across eight Namo Bharat stations, including Sahibabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, and Meerut South, with both fast and standard charging options deployed.

NCRTC stated that the initiative is expected to enhance commuter convenience, support EV adoption, and contribute to broader sustainability and emission reduction goals. The corporation plans to expand similar infrastructure across additional stations going forward.
