Trump has indicated that the United States could carry out another military strike on an Iranian nuclear facility, identifying Pickaxe Mountain as a possible target. Speaking during an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, he said the site remains under constant surveillance and is being closely monitored by US intelligence agencies.
Highlighting America’s monitoring capabilities, Trump said advanced surveillance systems, including the US Space Force, are tracking Iran’s nuclear activities. He stated that no significant activity has been detected at Pickaxe Mountain in recent weeks, but stressed that the location remains under military consideration.
Reiterating Washington’s long-standing position, Trump declared that Iran will not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. He claimed previous American military operations had significantly disrupted Iran’s nuclear programme and warned that any renewed activity would invite a strong response.
The President also criticised Iran’s leadership, accusing Tehran of repeatedly breaking agreements after negotiations had reportedly made substantial progress. Trump described the Iranian government as unreliable and argued that its actions have undermined diplomatic efforts.
Despite his strong military rhetoric, Trump maintained that diplomacy remains an option. He said a new agreement with Iran is still achievable if Tehran demonstrates a genuine willingness to negotiate and comply with international expectations.
Trump further asserted that Iran’s conventional military capabilities have been severely weakened, claiming the country’s air and naval forces have suffered major setbacks. While declining to discuss specific actions against Iranian leaders, he suggested the United States possesses extensive intelligence on Iran’s military infrastructure.
