New Delhi, July 13: IndianOil‘s Northern Region and Delhi State Office (DSO) organized a Yamuna Cleaning Drive at the Yamuna riverbank near Sarai Kale Khan, New Delhi, as part of Swachhta Pakhwada, reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation, river rejuvenation and sustainable development. The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from IndianOil employees, officers and members of the public, highlighting the importance of collective action in keeping the nation’s rivers clean.

The programme was led by Hemant Rathore, Executive Director (Northern Region) and State Head, Delhi State Office, and was attended by Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Member of Parliament from Northeast Delhi, as the Chief Guest. To mark the occasion, Rathore welcomed the MP by presenting a sapling, symbolising IndianOil’s commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable future.

During the event, the Swachhta Pledge was administered to all participants, reaffirming their collective commitment to maintaining clean rivers, public spaces and healthier surroundings. Addressing the gathering, Manoj Kumar Tiwari commended IndianOil for integrating environmental stewardship with its nation-building efforts, encouraging citizens to actively participate in restoring and preserving the Yamuna River.

The campaign formally commenced with a signature campaign, jointly flagged off by the Chief Guest, Hemant Rathore and senior IndianOil officials. A walkathon followed the clean-up activity, encouraging greater public participation in river conservation and environmental awareness.
