Mumbai, Feb 28: During his first official visit to India, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney underscored India’s position as the world’s fastest-growing major economy and highlighted opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation.
In Mumbai, he engaged with business leaders, industry experts, and Canadian investors in India, emphasizing shared economic and technological interests.
The visit will culminate in delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, focusing on advancing the India–Canada Strategic Partnership across trade, investment, energy, critical minerals, innovation, and people-to-people ties.
Both leaders are expected to reaffirm their commitment to a balanced, constructive, and forward-looking bilateral relationship.
