New Delhi, Feb 14: In a significant enhancement to India’s startup ecosystem, the Union Cabinet has sanctioned the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0, amounting to Rs 10,000 crore.
This initiative aims to mobilize domestic capital and strengthen the venture capital landscape, fueling innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
Building upon the success of Fund of Funds for Startups 1.0, which facilitated over Rs 25,500 crore investments into more than 1,370 startups, the new fund focuses on supporting deep tech and innovative manufacturing projects while mitigating funding-related failures for early-growth stage founders.
Additionally, it seeks to extend investments beyond major metropolitan areas, thereby fostering innovation throughout the country and addressing high-risk capital gaps in essential sectors to bolster economic growth and self-reliance.
