India, Seychelles Deepen Partnership with Agreements Across Key Sectors

New Delhi, Feb 09: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Seychelles President Patrick Herminie met in New Delhi to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors including development partnership, health, infrastructure, blue economy, renewable energy, and maritime security.

They adopted the ‘Vision for Sustainability, Economic Growth and Security through Enhanced Linkages’ (SESEL) and India unveiled a Special Economic Package to assist Seychelles in public housing, infrastructure, and capacity building.

Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were also exchanged covering health, digital fields, culture, and governance. Herminie’s visit included engagements in Chennai and Mumbai, emphasizing Seychelles’ significance as a maritime neighbor and collaborator in India’s Vision MAHASAGAR initiative.
