NTPC plans 30 GW nuclear capacity by 2047: Shripad Naik

NTPC Q4 PAT Jumps 75%

New Delhi, Feb 06: NTPC Ltd aims to achieve a 30GW nuclear capacity by 2047, as announced by Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik.

The company has formed a nuclear subsidiary, NTPC Parmanu Urja Nigam Limited, and is part of the government’s goal for a total of 100GW nuclear capacity by the same year.

A joint venture with NPCIL is progressing on a 4X700 MW project in Rajasthan, with initial testing expected by FY 2032-33. NTPC has also added 359.58 MW through solar projects, bringing its total capacity to over 85.5GW, while targeting 60GW of renewable energy by 2032.

The company focuses on providing sustainable electricity and embracing clean energy technologies.
