Tata Power Q3 results: Profit falls 25% to ₹772 crore, revenue down

Mumbai, Feb 5: Tata Power reported a 25% year-on-year decline in Q3 FY26 consolidated net profit to Rs 772 crore, down from Rs 1,031 crore in Q3 FY25, due to lower revenues and flat power demand.

Revenue from operations fell 9% to Rs 13,948.41 crore, while total expenses decreased by 6% to Rs 13,465.06 crore. A one-time expense of Rs 78 crore was incurred from new labor codes.

On an adjusted basis, profit after tax rose 1% to Rs 1,194 crore, and EBITDA increased 12% to Rs 3,913 crore. CEO Praveer Sinha noted strong performance across various segments and highlighted significant achievements in renewable energy, including crossing 10 GW in EPC execution and expanding rooftop solar installations beyond 4 GWp.

Tata Power serves over 13 million distribution customers, making it the largest private utility. The company is well-positioned for 2026, focusing on clean energy capacity and sustainable growth amidst favorable macroeconomic conditions.
