New Delhi, Feb 4: Brazil’s President Lula da Silva’s forthcoming visit to India is anticipated to enhance bilateral relations, according to Ambassador Kenneth H. da Nobrega.
The visit, occurring less than a year after Prime Minister Modi’s trip to Brazil, underscores the commitment to strengthen cooperation in trade, technology, and geopolitical efforts. Key areas of focus include energy, defense, health, and digital infrastructure, with expectations for new agreements to emerge.
Ambassador da Nobrega emphasized the significance of mutual trust built over 70 years of diplomatic relations as both nations navigate contemporary geopolitical challenges.
Additionally, Brazil aims to expand its trade preferences agreement with India, which aligns with India’s growing economic stature, projected to retain a 6-7% growth rate annually.
