New Delhi, Feb 3: SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited) has reported record cumulative sales of 16.6 million tonnes from April to January in FY 2025–26, reflecting a 16% increase from 14.3 million tonnes in the same period the previous year.
This achievement marks the highest sales performance in SAIL’s history for these months and includes the best sales figures ever for January, with 1.84 million tonnes sold, surpassing last year’s 1.68 million tonnes by over 10%.
The company attributes its success to increased dispatches from plants, expanded door delivery and warehouse sales, as well as enhanced customer focus and logistics efficiency.
The rise in sales allowed SAIL to decrease its inventory by approximately 0.25 million tonnes and significantly reduce borrowings, strengthening its financial standing.
These accomplishments reflect a committed effort from SAIL’s marketing team to expand market reach and fulfill business goals, underscoring its role in supporting India’s infrastructure and industrial progress.
