Davos, Jan 22 (IANS): India’s Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized increasing global confidence in the country during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, where international companies showed significant interest in engaging with India.
Key topics included India’s development journey and focus on future-ready infrastructure, which are attracting attention from global leaders. Vaishnaw noted active collaboration with logistics giant Maersk, which aims to enhance India’s logistics infrastructure, and partnerships with Honeywell for railway modernization and manufacturing expansion.
He mentioned Temasek’s interest in further investment in India’s infrastructure and deep-tech startups, affirming Singapore’s long-term commitment to India’s economic growth.
The discussions also highlighted India’s emerging role in artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity, attributing this to its skilled workforce, robust digital infrastructure, and stable policies, thus reinforcing India’s stature as a trusted partner in global value chains.
