New Delhi, Jan 22: An All-India Inter-Sector Kabaddi Championship took place from 12 to 15 January 2026 at the SAI Stadium, Kokrajhar, organized by the CISF Unit, NTPC Bongaigaon.
The event concluded with a closing ceremony attended by dignitaries including Shri Arnab Maitra, who presented awards to the winning teams. In the Women’s category, APS-II won, followed by NES and the Central Sector.
For the Men’s category, APS-II was also the champion, with NES and the Eastern Sector finishing as Runners-Up and third, respectively. Maitra praised the tournament for fostering physical endurance, teamwork, and mutual respect, underlining the significance of sports in promoting an active lifestyle among security forces.
The championship demonstrated high levels of sportsmanship and fitness, especially from the NES teams, reinforcing the commitment to sports and teamwork culture across sectors.
