New Delhi, Jan 16: NTPC Bongaigaon celebrated its 21st Raising Day with enthusiasm, marked by a flag hoisting by Arnab Maitra, Head of Project.

The event included the NTPC Geet, cake cutting, and balloon release, attended by various stakeholders including employees and union representatives. Maitra reflected on the plant’s impact since its foundation in 2006, reporting a steady generation of 3,527 Million Units with a Plant Load Factor of 67.56% as of January 2026.

He highlighted key operational achievements, including Unit#1 running uninterrupted for 373 days and maintaining efficiency metrics like Auxiliary Power Consumption within limits. NTPC Bongaigaon is recognized 4th in Safety Evaluation and ranks among the top 10 in Performance Evaluation across NTPC.
The plant set records in ash utilisation, achieving 115.3% total ash utilisation since inception and a remarkable monthly usage of 313.45% in December 2025. A total of 76 coal rakes were received that month, enhancing operational capacity.

Maitra attributed these successes to the dedicated workforce and urged employees to maintain integrity and innovation. Community engagement was reinforced through the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, which provided educational kits to local students, demonstrating NTPC Bongaigaon’s commitment to societal development and education.
