NTPC Sanctions ₹23.16 Crore to Enhance Radiotherapy Facilities at GCRI Centre

New Delhi, Jan 03: NTPC Limited has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI) to enhance radiotherapy services at the Siddhpur Satellite Centre in Ahmedabad, with a funding of Rs 23.16 crore.

This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aims to procure and install a high-energy Linear Accelerator, improving cancer treatment access in the region.

The MoA was signed by Dr. Shashank Pandya and NTPC’s E. Satya Phani Kumar, highlighting NTPC’s commitment to healthcare development. Additionally, NTPC and IIT Bombay are collaborating on India’s first geological CO2 storage testing, marking significant advancements in both healthcare and environmental initiatives.
