New Delhi, December 14: President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the Second Prize of ₹50,000, along with a Silver Medal and a Laptop, to Master Stanzin Chosyangs, a Class X student of Druk Padma Karpo School, Shey, Leh (UT of Ladakh), at the National Energy Conservation Day Awards Ceremony 2025 held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
The award was conferred for his outstanding painting on energy conservation under Category ‘B’ at the National Level Painting Competition 2025, recognising his creativity, artistic excellence and awareness at the national level.
The ceremony was attended by Manohar Lal, Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs; Shripad Naik, Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy; Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India; and Dhiraj Kumar Srivastava, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
Congratulating the winners, Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC, said the organisation takes pride in encouraging young talent that promotes the message of energy conservation and reaffirmed NHPC’s commitment to the National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation under the Ministry of Power.
Under the campaign, NHPC was entrusted with organising school- and state-level painting competitions on energy conservation in Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim, Ladakh and Madhya Pradesh for the year 2025, which were successfully conducted.
