NLC India regularises 397 Indcoserve contract workers, boosts welfare and aligns with Viksit Bharat 2047

New Delhi, Dec 12: Marking a significant advancement in employee welfare, NLC India Limited (NLCIL) held a Regularization Ceremony on 11.12.2025, officially regularizing 397 IndcoServe Society workmen associated with the company.

The event was chaired by the Minister of Coal & Mines, G. Krishan Reddy, who participated via video conference alongside other dignitaries, including Dr. L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting.

In his address, Dr. Murugan highlighted the positive impacts of regularization on the workers and their families, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s employment commitments.

G. Kishan Reddy emphasized that approximately 2,300 contract workers have been regularized since 2015, reflecting the government’s dedication to inclusive development and workforce empowerment. He urged NLCIL to bolster its support initiatives, which include health camps, skill development programs, and mental wellness workshops.

The event featured the presentation of appointment orders by Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, NLCIL’s CMD, symbolizing a commitment to the dignity and welfare of contract workers.

Motupalli expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Union Coal Minister and reiterated that this regularization effort reinforces NLCIL’s human capital strategy in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The ceremony culminated in acknowledgments from workers’ representatives, who expressed deep gratitude for the recognition of their long service and newfound stability.

Samir Swarup, Director (HR), confirmed NLCIL’s continued dedication to workforce welfare through ongoing support and development initiatives, marking the regularization of these workers as a key milestone in NLCIL’s commitment to social security and inclusive growth.
