Adani Group Plans $75 Billion+ Investment in Energy Transition in the Next Five Years

New Delhi, Dec 09: Adani Group will invest over $75 billion in energy transition initiatives over the next five years, as announced by Chairman Gautam Adani.

Speaking at the 100th anniversary of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, Adani emphasized the importance of the global green energy transition, projected to be worth several trillion dollars.

He highlighted India’s rapid shift towards non-fossil fuel energy sources, achieving significant milestones ahead of targets set under the Paris Agreement.

Adani also responded to criticisms regarding India’s sustainability by arguing the country’s low per capita CO2 emissions and the need for India to assert its sovereignty in the face of global expectations. He encouraged students to be the next generation of “freedom fighters” in achieving economic independence.
