New Delhi, Dec 05: PM Modi and President Putin have announced a comprehensive economic cooperation program to enhance India-Russia trade until 2030. During a press conference, PM Modi highlighted the goal of achieving $50 billion in mutual investments by 2025 and $100 billion in annual bilateral trade by 2030.
The leaders oversaw the signing of several agreements across sectors, including fertilizers, food safety, and shipping. Russia committed to ensuring a steady supply of fuel to support India’s growing economy. Moreover, Indian companies signed a significant agreement with URALCHEM for establishing a urea plant in Russia.
The discussions included the adoption of a strategic cooperation program and the review of bilateral relations, encompassing regional and global mutual interests. Additional MoUs were signed in areas such as medical sciences and maritime logistics.
President Putin also agreed to join the International Big Cat Alliance initiative led by India. PM Modi commented on the enduring strength of India-Russia ties over the past decades and recognized President Putin’s pivotal role in establishing the strategic partnership nearly twenty-five years ago.
