New Delhi, Nov 24 The Ministry of Power, Government of India, held a meeting with the India Energy Stack (IES) Taskforce to advance the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for the power sector. The IES aims to create a secure and interoperable digital backbone for the energy value chain, supported by REC Limited (Maharatna Status) and FSR Global.
The meeting focused on reviewing the draft IES Strategy and Architecture Documents. Domain experts engaged in discussions to provide strategic guidance for refining these documents, essential for the initiative’s pilot phase set for completion by July 2026.
Key participants included leaders from technology, power sector, and regulatory bodies, reflecting a collective ambition for a unified digital framework akin to Aadhaar and UPI in their respective domains. The Taskforce will convene monthly to ensure project alignment and progress.
