India, Russia Set to Strengthen Trade Relations and Boost Market Access

New Delhi, Nov 14: India and Russia are set to enhance trade relations, building upon their bilateral trade which has exceeded $50 billion, surpassing the 2014 target of $25 billion, with a new goal of $100 billion by 2030.

In a recent meeting, India proposed strategies for improving market access and listed areas for cooperation, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and engineering goods.

The discussion highlighted India’s strengths in sectors like textiles, chemicals, and electronics, and emphasized the potential for Indian IT and services offerings in the Russian market. Both nations also aim to develop payment solutions for small businesses and facilitate the movement of Indian professionals to support labor needs in Russia.
