Indian Oil Reports 4,128% Jump in Q2 Net Profit, 4% Rise in Revenue

Mumbai, Oct 28: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) reported a strong Q2 net profit of Rs 7,610.5 crore, marking a significant turnaround from the previous fiscal year.

The company saw growth in both profitability and operating income during the quarter, with a low base from last year due to an exceptional item helping drive the bottom line. IOC’s net profit for the quarter ended September rose 33.8 per cent, compared to Rs 5,689 crore in the previous quarter.

IOC’s revenue from operations increased 4% YoY to Rs 2.03 lakh crore in Q2 FY26, supported by higher refining margins and steady fuel demand across the country.

IOC shares ended 3.23 per cent higher at Rs 155.20 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), close to the day’s high of Rs 155.35. The Maharatna PSU stock has shown a steady upward trend this year, rising 11.67% year-to-date and about 13.23 per cent in the last six months.
