New Delhi, Oct 24: The Swachhata (Cleanliness) Campaign, launched on October 2, 2025, is part of the larger Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) and is also known as Special Campaign 5.0.

Motivated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guided by the Minister of Coal, G. Kishan Reddy, NLCIL has been observing “Swachhotsav” as the theme for the 2025 Swachhata Hi Seva (Cleanliness is Service) campaign.
NLCIL has taken several initiatives to institutionalize cleanliness and improve community infrastructure, including scrap identification and disposal, safe e-waste removal, and transforming public utility facilities.

Three initiatives aimed at community welfare were inaugurated today, including a renovated community hall at the Sri Sivasubramania Swamy Temple, a renovated Dining Hall at Block-25 NLC Guest House, and a converted bank quarter in Block-12 of Neyveli Township into a “Ladies Trainee Hostel.”
These initiatives aim to promote cleanliness, community participation, and sustainable living, in line with the Prime Minister’s call for “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” (“Save the daughter, educate the daughter”) and a step towards a transformative Bharat.
