New Delhi, Oct 01: Oil India (OIL) and GAIL (India) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation within the natural gas value chain to improve access to cleaner energy in India.
The agreement was formalized in the presence of key officials from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The Secretary of MoPNG highlighted the MoU’s role in increasing domestic gas availability, which is integral to the government’s vision of a gas-based economy.
Leaders from both OIL and GAIL expressed that this collaboration would bolster national energy security and contribute to India’s sustainable energy goals by combining OIL’s upstream capabilities with GAIL’s expertise in gas marketing and distribution.
