New Delhi, Sept 19: Oil India Limited and Hindustan Copper Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 19, 2025, to collaborate on the exploration and development of critical and strategic minerals, particularly Copper.
This partnership is a key move towards enhancing India’s self-reliance in vital mineral sourcing. Oil India, part of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has expanded its focus to include critical minerals, while Hindustan Copper, under the Ministry of Mines, specializes in mining and processing copper.
Their collaboration aligns with the National Critical Mineral Mission, aiming to secure essential resources for India’s energy security and technological development. The MoU was signed in the presence of the companies’ respective Chairmen and senior officials.
