Indian Institution of Technical Arbitrators, Delhi to host 5th International Conference on Construction Arbitration

New Delhi, May 17, 2023: Indian Institution of Technical Arbitrators (IITArb) is all set to host fifth international conference on ‘Construction Arbitration: The Indian and International perspective’ on 19th & 20th May 2023, at Vigyan Bhawan here. The inauguration shall be by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, union minister and valedictory on Saturday will be by Justice (Regd) Hemant Gupta,

Leading experts from India and abroad in the field of construction arbitration will deliberate current and emerging trends in construction arbitration and the best international practices that can be implemented in India.

The conference will provide a valuable forum for construction industry professionals to interact & share insights and experiences on how best to manage and resolve disputes in the construction industry. The event will be attended by Gracious, Shuryendu, Himanshu Batra,
Hasit Seth, Dr Amit George, Ratan K Singh, Anand Juddoo, Tejas Karia, Saurav Agarwal,
Justice Talwant Singh, Datuk prof Sundra Rajoo Malaysia, Kunal Vajani and Hades Tam form India and abroad.

During the conference, panel discussions and comparative study will be presented and it will have an overview of construction arbitration practices in India, suggested legislative & policy measures, framing specific rules for construction arbitration, issues related to standard form contracts & bespoke conditions, claim documentation, delay & quantum analysis, drafting of arbitration clauses & appointment of arbitrator(s) will be highlighted in the event.
