New Delhi, Oct 03 :Under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM)’ and aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, Oil India Limited, Pipeline Headquartersorganized a cultural program to promote North-East India’s rich culture and heritage at University of Science and Technology( USTM), Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya on 26.09.2022
The program was attended by Abhijit Borgohain, Chief General Manager (Pipeline Services), Jayanta Hazarika, Chief General Manager (PLM, MM, OM), Madhurjya Barua, Chief General Manager (HR&A) and other senior officials of OIL alongwith Prof. G.D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balendra Kumar Das, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr RK Sarma, Advisor, professors and more than 5000 students of USTM.
The plethora of different cultures of the eight North- Eastern States of India was showcased via dance and music during the program.
The different folk dances and music of Assam was also performed. The show was hugely successful in creating awareness and excitement amongst everyone present, especially the younger generation regarding the rich and diverse heritage of our country.
