New Delhi, April, 22: NTPC Bongaigaon committed itself towards a sustainable planet by planting 100 saplings on the World Earth Day coinciding with the theme “Invest in Our Planet”. The NTPC Bongaigaon senior management led by Subrata Mandal, ED, NTPC Bongaigaon planted saplings of varied types including medicinal plants at its township premises.
Subrata Mandal, ED, NTPC Bongaigaon spoke on how NTPC as a group company is focusing on inspiring governments, businesses, and citizens to combat climate change. Mandal also highlighted the efforts of NTPC Bongaigaon towards creating a healthier planet for its stakeholders.
T.Ravinder, GM (O&M), Umesh Singh, GM (FM), D P Patra, GM (Operations), Induri Reddy, GM (Maintenance), Arunashsis Das, GM (Projects) along with E. Nyulli, AGM,EMG(Environment Monitoring Group) and Heads of Departments also participated in the plantation program.
