RailTel posts its Highest Ever Consolidated Income of Rs. 1411 Crore in FY 20-21

RailTel announced its highest ever consolidated income of Rs.1411 Crore in its 122nd board meeting held on 25.6.2021.  This is a growth of 21% over consolidated income of Rs.  1166 Crore in FY 19-20.

With this, RailTel has posted a Profit before tax amounting to Rs. 197 Crore and Profit after tax of Rs.142 Crore during the Financial Year 2020- 2021 on consolidated basis.

The company registered a total income of Rs. 440 Crorein Q4 which is 5% increase over preceding quarter and 8% higher on Y-o-Y basis. RailTel’s Consolidated Revenue from operations for fourth quarter ended 31st March 2021 stood at Rs. 430 Crore registering a growth of 5% on Q-o-Q basis and 9% on Y-o-Y basis.

Talking about the future prospectus of the company, Shri Puneet Chawla, Chairman and Managing Director of RailTel said, “Digital Transformation of Businesses has become imperative as a result of Covid 19 pandemic. We have seen substantial growth in our Retail broadband Service- Rail Wire, HD videoconference, Data Centre, IBW, VPN services and the trend is likely to continue. We have around Rs 4500 Crore order book on the back of new orders. We are also focusing on the Heath, Education sectors and providing IoT, AI, based solutions to clients. Overall, RailTel is on a growth trajectory and we are committed to keep on posting higher revenue growth each year.”
